How Shēngxiào Works

The Wheel, the vault, your spirit's evolution, and the Bloodline referral economics — all enforced on-chain.

The Wheel & the Twelve Houses

Every wallet that joins Shēngxiào registers into one of twelve Spirit Houses — Rat through Pig, arranged in the traditional wheel order. Registration is a one-time, soulbound act: your house is written to the SpiritRegistry contract the moment you join, and it can never be changed, sold, or transferred. Choose like it matters — because it does, forever.

The token charges a trading tax on every buy and sell. Instead of going to a team wallet, that tax flows into the ZodiacWheelVault — a single shared vault whose balance is divided among the twelve house pools by fixed on-chain rules. No admin can redirect it; the split happens the same way, every round, for everyone.

Soulbound registration — one house, forever

How Every Round's Revenue Splits

Each round, the vault's fresh trading-tax revenue is distributed by a fixed formula. Nothing here is decided by people — only by the contract and the state of the wheel.

Total Vault
Hongbao pool~0.5–5%
Leader House50%
Season House +30% weight
11 other houses
  1. 1

    Hongbao reserve skimmed first

A small launch-configurable slice (typically 0.5–5%) is set aside into the 红包 Hongbao pool before anything else. This funds the random bonus draws described later.

  2. 2

    Leader House takes its pool

Of what remains, leaderPoolBps (launch-configurable, e.g. 50%) goes entirely to the Leader House — whichever house currently has the most active members. This is the wheel's permanent growth engine: recruiting for your house directly grows the pool your house splits.

  3. 3

The rest splits across all 12 houses

The remainder is divided among all twelve houses — but the current Season House receives a 30% weight bonus over the other eleven. The Season House rotates every 7 days in wheel order (1→12→1), so over twelve weeks every house gets its boosted season. No house is ever permanently left behind.

Why it's built this way

  • Leader pool — a permanent prize for the largest active community. It gives every member a standing reason to recruit: grow your house, grow your pool.
  • Season bonus — a rotating spotlight that guarantees every house a boosted week every twelve weeks, so smaller houses always have their moment.

Claiming Your Share

Within each house, a round's pool is split equally among that house's currently-active members. A wallet counts as active if it has traded, claimed, or been referral-active within the last 30 days — dead wallets earn nothing, so they can never dilute the shares of members who actually show up.

Each wallet may claim once per round. Claiming does not send tokens to your wallet directly — it pulls your share from your house pool into your personal claimable balance inside the vault. A separate withdraw then moves that balance to your wallet. Two steps, two transactions, full separation between accounting and payout.

Active = traded, claimed, or referral-active within 30 days
One claim per wallet per round
Claim → claimable balance → Withdraw → your wallet

Chi, Evolution & Rank

Chi drives evolution

Chi is your activity score — it accrues as you trade, claim, and grow your bloodline. As your chi crosses each threshold, your Spirit Animal evolves through four stages, from dormant Egg to Full Form. Chi is personal and only ever goes up.

  • Egg

    0+ Chi

  • Awake

    100+ Chi

  • Glowing

    1000+ Chi

  • Full Form

    10000+ Chi

Rank is earned by recruiting

Rank is separate from chi. It measures the size and quality of the bloodline you've built, and it sets the percentage you earn from your direct recruits' claims.

  • Elder5 direct recruits
  • House Guardian20 direct recruits, with at least one full 三合 trine represented among them
  • Zodiac MasterTop 1% of the network by bloodline size
Rank matters for one reason: it sets your Tier-1 referral cut — 10% at Hatchling up to 18% at Zodiac Master.

The Bloodline — Referral Economics

When someone joins through your referral link, they are bonded to your bloodline permanently — recorded on-chain at registration. From then on, every claim they ever make pays you a cut. The cut is taken from their claim, never added on top — and the chain pays up to four generations deep.

Tier 1

Tier 2

Tier 3

Tier 4

Tier 1 — your direct recruits

Your cut of each direct recruit's claim scales with your rank:

Hatchling

Elder

12%

House Guardian

15%

Zodiac Master

18%

The 三合 trine modifier

Tier-1 cuts are adjusted by the zodiac relationship between your house and your recruit's house. Recruits inside your own 三合 trine (the houses four apart that share your element) pay +25%. Recruits in your clash house (exactly 6 apart on the wheel) pay −25%. Recruiting within your trine is meaningfully more valuable.

Tiers 2–4 — your ancestors' chain

Above your direct referrer, the next three generations earn a flat 5%, 2%, and 1% of each claim. Total referral drag on any single claim is hard-capped at 25% across all tiers — every member always keeps at least 75% of their own claim, no matter how deep the chain above them.

Hard cap: total referral cuts never exceed 25% of a claim

Bloodline decay

If the wallet making a claim was inactive before that claim, its ancestors receive nothing from it. Referral income rewards living bloodlines, not recruit-and-abandon schemes — you earn from people who actually participate.

Hongbao 红包 — Bonus Draws

The Hongbao pool (skimmed first each round) funds surprise bonus drops. Each round, a handful of active wallets within the current Season House's trine are randomly selected to receive a share of the pool — a festive layer of luck on top of the normal claim flow.

You can't grind for Hongbao directly; it rewards being active in the right season. Being an active member anywhere in the season trine keeps you eligible every third week on average.

Pay to Join — The Entry Burn

Registration is not free. Calling registerSpiritAnimal burns joinCost() of the launch token — 0.01% of its total supply — by transferring it to the dead address 0x…dEaD. The tokens are permanently destroyed: they are not paid to the team, the vault, a treasury, or your referrer. Nobody receives them.

Because the burn is pulled with transferFrom, your wallet must first approve the registry to spend exactly the join cost. The app handles this as a clear two-step flow: Approve, then Join. Both are on-chain transactions and both cost gas.

The join cost is read live from the contract, so what the app shows you is exactly what will be burned.

Levels & Upgrading

Every registered member has a level from 1 to 10. Level is not cosmetic: it sets your payout weight, which decides how large a slice of your house's trading-tax pool you receive. A level-10 member earns 5.5× what a level-1 member earns from the same pool.

Calling upgrade() burns tokens and raises your level by one. The cost scales with your current level, so climbing gets progressively more expensive:

upgradeCost = joinCost × currentLevel
Upgrade burns are permanent — the tokens go to the dead address, exactly like the join cost. At level 10, upgrading is disabled.

Gambling Your Level

gamble() burns a flat fee equal to the join cost and flips a coin on-chain. Win and you jump +2 levels. Lose and your level resets to 1 — every upgrade you paid for is gone.

This is a real 50/50 with a real downside. The fee is burned whether you win or lose, and a loss destroys your accumulated level. It is not a one-way boost and it is not a guaranteed upside.

If your level matters to you, upgrading is the deterministic path. Gambling is a wager — only use it with tokens and levels you are willing to lose outright.

The Badge Art Evolves With Your Level

Your soulbound badge is rendered fully on-chain by tokenURI(), so it re-draws itself as your level changes. There is nothing to mint again and no metadata server — the art escalates as you climb:

  • An inner ring appears around your house glyph.
  • Corner gems light up at the four corners of the card.
  • A starburst radiates behind the glyph.
  • A third outer ring encloses the composition.
  • A gold wash fills the card — roughly 20% gilded at level 2, rising to the entire card at level 10.
Because the badge is soulbound, this artwork is a non-transferable record of your own progress — it cannot be bought or sold.

Trust & Safety, in Plain Terms

Permanent by design

House registration is soulbound: one wallet, one house, no transfers, no do-overs. Referral bonds are likewise immutable once written.

Upgradeable — but not by us

The vault follows the beacon proxy pattern. Upgrade authority is held exclusively by Flap's protocol Guardian — the same key that governs the token launchpad — not by any project wallet. Logic can be patched for security, but no one can quietly rewrite the revenue rules.

Auditable on-chain accounting

Every house pool, claimable balance, and Hongbao reserve is an explicit on-chain number. The vault never holds unaccounted funds: what you see in the contracts is exactly what exists.
